Introduction
Two years after its founding, BorderPlus has grown into a 110-plus person team spanning India, Germany and Brazil. BioSpectrum India profiled the company as its Startup of the Day, laying out how BorderPlus has scaled its global healthcare talent mobility business since its 2024 inception in Mumbai.
The Numbers
The profile lays out BorderPlus’s key metrics: roughly 400 nurses placed in FY26 across more than 50 German hospital clients, an 85% first-time pass rate on the B2 German exam, and more than 800 nursing students currently studying across its training centres worldwide. The company has raised $7 million to date, led by Owl Ventures with participation from entrepreneurs including Binny Bansal and Ritesh Agarwal, and exited FY26 at a ₹60 crore annualised revenue run rate.
Where BorderPlus Is Headed
According to the founders, the company is accelerating AI-driven revenue by scaling tailored solutions for hospitals and care homes across Germany through its AI-powered Nurse Companion, with pilots already live across six German healthcare providers. In the GCC, BorderPlus has placed over 100 healthcare professionals in Saudi Arabia and the UAE while building a demand pipeline with leading hospital chains through its GCC pathway. The company is also exploring new recruitment corridors in Japan as it widens its footprint into other ageing, mature economies.
Impact
For a company barely two years old, the metrics point to a business moving from proof-of-concept to repeatable scale placement volume, exam pass rates, and revenue run rate all trending in the same direction. Read more about BorderPlus and its founding story.
