City registration

A booked appointment at the town hall — the address on your Meldebescheinigung is what your bank, employer and tax office all reference.

Issued by post after your Anmeldung. Without it your employer defaults you to tax class VI — the highest bracket — and it is painful to unwind later.

What does it cost?
It depends which plan fits and how much is already done. Tell us your situation and we'll come back with a straight number — free.
I've seen a free app. Why isn't this free?
An app earns a commission on the products it signs you up to. Nobody earns a commission on a residence-permit appointment or a recognition dossier — that work is done by people. Use both if you like.
I've been here a year already. Too late?
No — it's the most common way people come to us. We start from where you are, and the first thing we do is find what's been missed.
Can you start before I land?
Yes, and it's much better. Apostilles and translations are far easier while you're still at home.
Do I have to be a BorderPlus nurse?
No. However you got to Germany, you can use this.
What if I change hospitals?
Tell us before you sign anything — it affects your permit and has to be done in a specific order. Nothing you pay us is tied to your job.
Is this legal advice?
No. Anything requiring a licence is done by a licensed partner — see the section above.
What happens to my data?
It stays with BorderPlus on EU servers, is used only for your plan, and never goes to a recruiter. Ask us to delete it and we will.
